Our Story

Madessa didn't start with a business plan. It started with a feeling.

A feeling that the people we love most — the little ones who twirl before dinner, and the mamas who hold everything together — deserve clothes that are made with real care. Not fast fashion. Not something that falls apart after three washes. Something that means something.

We are a family business. Literally.

It's me, my mum, my aunties, my dad, and my cousins. Every fabric is chosen together. Every design is argued over together — lovingly, loudly, the way only families do. And every detail that makes it onto a Madessa piece has been touched by someone who genuinely cares.

Our aunties hand-stitch every detail — like the little lemons on our lemon cardigan, made one by one. Our dad carries every heavy box without being asked and explains every financial decision to me slowly, then again, then once more. 😅 My mum travelled with me, stayed in hotel rooms with me, and talked me through every moment of doubt. Madessa wouldn't exist without her.

We work with a small, trusted manufacturer who didn't just make our pieces they listened, they taught us, and they were patient when we were still figuring it all out. We learned so much in that room.

Why we make what we make

We design nursing-friendly pieces for mamas because you shouldn't have to choose between feeling beautiful and feeding your baby. We design soft, breathable pieces for little ones because their comfort matters as much as how they look. And we design matching sets for both because some moments deserve to be remembered.

Natural fabrics. Handmade details. Small batches. Made with love by a family that puts everything into every single piece.

A note from me

I took a break last year. Life happened, I travelled, worked, learned so much, and somewhere in the middle of all of it I kept thinking about Madessa. About how much I love this brand. About every piece we made together as a family.

So we're back. Quietly, honestly, with a lot of heart.
